Jarboe showed up much improved since we’ve seen him last, most notably his physicality at the plate. The ball was jumping off his bat in BP and game. Showed the ability to handle velo, turning around an 87 mph fastball for a single as well as recording an extra base hit in game. Hit tool definitely will carry to the college level. Nothing flashy as a defender but a sure-handed guy who will fit in the corners.

A solid player who was a contributor on a talented Lakota West team this season. Really liked the BP, showing a swing that offers both strength and speed through the zone. Generates easy gap pop with the ability to drive the ball with authority to pull side. Doesn’t get cheated up there. One of the more impressive BPs of the day. Also looked the part at third base. Plays with quick feet and soft hands. Ball skills are above average for class. Not a flashy defender but gets the job done. Two-way prospect. On the bump the right-hander has an athletic, efficient delivery. Was in the mid 70s velocity wise on this day but wouldn’t be shocked if he has substantially more left in there. Has feel for both a breaking ball and changeup that look to be above average offerings.

5-foot-11 and 185-pound right-handed pitching prospect. Uses a quick tempo delivery. Rolls out of his lift into a hip load. Works in-line finishing square with a strong front side. Offers a four-pitch arsenal. Fastball works out of a high-3/4 slot with slight arm side run at 75-79 MPH. The breaking ball works well off the fastball. At 68-69 MPH, the pitch is sharp on a 11/5 tilt. The changeup is thrown with good arm speed and has some run/sink at 68-69 MPH. Also, offered and 63-66 MPH knuckleball, the pitch had consistent break when in the zone. Stood out at the plate. A right-handed hitter who shows more strength/burst than he does fluidity. Pre-launch movements are efficient, creating separation and balance at foot strike. Bat is fast and he shows the ability to make deep contact without sacrificing natural tools. Ball jumps, displaying easy gap pop with signs of some loft power to pull side. A third baseman with fluid actions. Creates angles with his feet prior to fielding to play through the baseball efficiently. Fields the baseball out in front of his body, maintaining rhythm throughout fielding. Tossed it across the diamond with accuracy and above average arm strength for class. An above average skill set in general at the spot.

A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller setup. Hands stay fluid and loose prior to launch. Lower half is simple, using a short stride for timing. Path is level with above average bat speed. Showed flashes of gap to gap pop and consistently produced line drives. At third base he uses quick footwork and gets to the ball in a timely fashion. Fields in the middle of his body with average glove skills. Plays well on the move.

Starts in a tall setup at the plate. Hands move to launch during his short stride forward. Path is slightly downhill and swing is compact. Bat has some quickness to it. Showed the ability to produce backspin on his line drives up the middle. Defensively, he worked out at third base. Feet start in tall, athletic stance. Would like to see him start lower to the ground with more bend in his knees. Feet and arm are average at this stage. Tendency to field the ball flat footed. Will be aided by playing more from the toes of his feet and creating angles towards first base. Uses long arm action through high ¾ slot.

5-foot-9, 175-pound prospect. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, athletic stance. Mechanics are simple but efficient. Creates torque by taking his hands back during his short stride forward. Bat gets through the zone with above average bat speed and showed strength through contact. Produced hard contact to the middle of the field during batting practice and reached a top exit velocity of 83 mph off the tee. In the infield he threw with 65 mph arm strength across the infield working through an over the top slot. Glove works and transfer is very quick. Area of improvement would be in his footwork approaching the ball to be able to field through it more efficiently.
