Alex Wright: C/3B, (2022) Batavia, OH. 6-foot, 210-pound physical frame. In the box, Wright clocked an exit velocity of 92 mph. Started in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then used a leg kick. Had a level swing plane and above average bat speed. Laterally, his movements were average. While catching, throw downs to second were maxed at 71 mph; showed smooth consistent feet, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Produced pop times of 2.06-2.21. Average flexibility and clean setup.
Body type: 5-foot-11, 200-pound big physical frame.
Swing mechanics: Short compact toe touch load with little movement in his hands.
Hit: Uphill bat path that produces backspin to the pull side.
Power: Gap to gap with more juice as he develops.
Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup.
Field: Quick and smooth transfer with efficient feet.
Throw: Developing arm strength.
Defensive Projection: UTL.
Additional Notes: Received and blocked well during the game portion, but both skills are still developing at times.
