Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Had a simple upward swing plane, efficient bat speed and good extension on his finish. Solid from the outfield, he showed plus arm strength by making throws to the infield at velocities up to 88 mph;shows quick feet, soft hands, and a fluid exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot.

Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Bat speed is efficient, displays a level swing plane and balanced finish. Solid when throwing from the outfield, he showed off his strong arm with throws at velocities of 92 mph;showed a natural exchange, sure hands, and consistent feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.96.

 1B/OF, (2025) Westerville South, OH. 5-foot-9, 166-pound. At the plate, Melo had an exit velocity of 90 mph. (68.5 mph bat speed average). (19.0 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Bat speed is quick, has a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 87 mph; had consistent footwork, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Clocked a 60 time of 7.25 at the event.  (Max spin ; Avg ).
