5/4/18 A good athlete with two-way capabilities. On the mound he an up-tempo delivery that requires some effort. Filled up the zone with his fastball that showed signs of life, it tailed away from RHH. Velocity wise he sat 73-75 mph. CB had 11/5 break with some depth, seems like he is still developing it. He throws from a high ¾ slot. He attacked batters and showed quickness off the mound covering first and fielding a bunt. At the plate, Gormley starts with a wide base, and has a lot of movement in the box. He has a leg kick and quick hands when hitting but tends to throw his hands at the ball. There is room to clean up mechanically, but he is an interesting follow with his size, bat speed, arm strength and ability to run.
