Scouting Notes: Good athlete with a quick arm. Everything comes together well. Fastball plays up/heavier than velo may suggest. Also spins a tight breaking ball, well above average breaking ball and quality changeup. Strike thrower that fills up the zone consistently.
Fastball: 80-82mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1733-1838
Breaking Ball: 69-71mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1993-2069
Changeup: 75-76mph.
Body Type: 6-foot, 185-pound Athletic, projectable frame
Mechanical/Delivery Notes:
Fastball: 79-84 mph. 1700-1900 rpms with very high spin efficiency keeping his fastball true through the zone. Heavy pitch with good command and rising velo throughout outing.
Curveball: 65-68 mph. 11/5 shape. Very tight, with sharp break late in the zone. Average to above average command with the offering, and comfortable throwing in any count.
Pitchability: Above average in general.
Additional Comments: High follow in ‘21 class. Fast arm with quality movement on the fastball.
Body Type: 6-foot, 185-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Right-handed arm with good tempo to his delivery. Long, loose arm through a high-¾ slot. Definite candidate for a velo jump here soon.
Fastball: 82-84 mph, heavier than velocity would suggest. Pitch will run arm side regularly.
Slider: 73-74 mph, throws the pitch firm, giving it quality depth with true slider action. Not a big breaker but more than enough action to cause inconsistent barrel contact.
Changeup: 75 mph, good pitch. Fastball look to it in general with enough velo difference to cause timing issues for hitters.
Pitchability: In the zone throughout entire outing.
Additional Comments: Young, quality right-hander to follow.
The 6-foot, 175-pound pitching prospect in the 2021 class. Very simple delivery requiring regular effort from the projectable arm. Works through a near high ¾ slot with a quick, clean arm. Fastball shows some life through the zone at 76-80 mph. Slider has sharp 10/4 break at 70-73 mph. Plus pitch for his age that shows swing and miss potential. Was able to both locate the pitch and put hitters away.
