8/1/17
5-foot-9, 155-pound prospect. A righty bat that gets things started with a  toe turn load. Uses a back load with upper half prior to his level path to the baseball. Bat has some whip to it with above average bat speed. Swing is efficient and fluid. Type of bat that can hit anywhere in lineup. Much more pop to come with maturity. At third base he plays low and does a nice job creating angles with his pre fielding footwork. An above average athlete for the position. Looks athletic on the move with above average lateral mobility. Glove skills are there and he showed confidence in them. Solid all around defender that has the tools to play second base if need be. Made an outstanding diving play in game.

2/9/17

5-foot-8, 160-pound prospect. On the mound the right hander has an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Works through a high-¾ slot with above average arm speed. Arm action is long and he curls his wrist at the back end. Does a nice job of getting in line to home plate with his lower half. Fastball worked mostly downhill, sitting 78-82 mph, topping at 84 mph. Is able to maintain fastball arm speed on his 70-73 mph changeup. Has feel for the pitch that showed late sink at times. Spins a 12/6 curveball that was sharp when he got on top of it, coming in at 63-65 mph. Dropped his arm slot on one of the offerings to give the pitch a 10/4 look. A righty swinger that starts in a balanced slightly open setup. Gets back to even through a toe turn load. Hands stay simple before taking a compact path to the ball. Showed fast/loose hands. Ball came off his bat well showing gap to gap pop. Middle of the order type guy. Behind the plate he starts in a low crouch, showing very flexible hips. Footwork is athletic and mechanically sound. Transfer skills were impressive as well. Solid all around catch and throw guy. Also worked out in the infield. Footwork is fluid and athletic. Plays aggressively and with confidence. Adequate glove skills.
