The 6-foot-1, 190-pound pitching prospect has an ideal pitchers frame. He shows a bit of a funky delivery with a fast, high leg kick but does a good job working downhill and driving down the mound. His fastball jumps out of his hand at 81-83 mph. He throws an 10/5 curveball at 66-70 mph with tight break. His final offering is a 67-73 mph changeup that has good armside downward movement. Paugh will be an arm to follow as he continues to grow and mature. In the infield takes direct routes before squaring up and centering the baseball. Reaction type player with average footwork. Transfer is fluid into a high ¾ slot with some carry in throws across the diamond. A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall stance. Simple load with fluidity. Balanced launch with a downhill path to contact. Compact stroke with developing natural tools. Contact type guy who worked the middle of the field in BP.
