1/26/19
Body Type: 5-foot-9 160-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a medium setup and uses a leg kick to initiate his load. Remains balanced throughout his swing and has an uphill bat path.
Hit: Shows strong hands and good barrel control.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Shows some decent bat to ball ability with strong hands. Has potential to be a gap to gap guy.
Run: 4.62 home to 1st.
Field: In the infield Seibert takes decent angles to the ball but waits a bit too much. Showed a quick arm and release.
Throw: 80 mph across the diamond.
Defensive Projection: Shows some raw physical tools and good instincts. If he continues to develop physically he could stick at SS.
1/27/18 5-foot-8, 140-pound prospect that is best suited for the infield. His best tool is his bat. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly open. Uses leg kick with short stride as he transfers weight through contact. Hands start at ears and drop in his load. Overall fluid rhythm with sold contact in his swing. Likely a second baseman. Uses short arm action from a high ¾ slot. Average hands and feet at this stage. Will be aided by playing more from the toes of his feet and creating rhythm to his footwork. Seibert did an excellent job receiving and stuck many of the pitches he saw. His footwork was good overall which he can improve on by getting to stronger throwing position quicker but that will come as his foot speed increases. Seibeirt’s glove to hand exchange was good, but can improve flow as it was a stiff transition. His best pop time was 2.18 along with a throwing velocity of 68. As he puts on more size, expect abilities to develop well.
