Hit: One of the better bats we saw. Very loose, aggressive stroke that generates well above average jump off the barrel. Doesn't get cheated up there and has the strength and bat speed combination to do regular damage. Very solid round. Power: Easy gap pop. Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling. Max BP Exit: 85mph. Max BP Distance: 302ft. Field: Smooth actions with well above average ball skills. Solid showing. A guy who could play multiple positions. Throw: Above average. Defensive Projection: Multiple spots.
Scouting Notes: 2023 arm out of New Albany high school. Definitely something here. Good size, cleaner delivery and arm works. Ball jumps out of the hand with above average present velocity (T81mph) and shows signs of more to come. Spins and up and down breaking ball that has promise and an above average changeup. Another talented arm New Albany seems to always produce. Fastball: 76-80mph. Fastball Spin Rates: 1680-1890rpm. Breaking Ball: 60-64mph. Breaking Ball Spin Rates: 2050-2150rpm. Changeup: 70-71mph.
