A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2018 class. Uses an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Works through in between a ¾ and high-¾ slot with above average arm speed. Wendel showed impressive pitch ability throwing all three offerings for a strike. Works of his sinking/running fastball that was anywhere from 82-84 mph. Spins a tight, 10/4 shaped breaking ball with depth to it. Used the pitch to freeze righties at 69-72 mph. Also showed solid feel for his change-up, maintaining fastball arm speed. The offering had similar action to his fastball.

5-foot-10, 155-pound athletic build. Throws through a high ¾ slot with long back side arm action. Stays tall in his delivery using a high lift with a slight pause at the top. The right hander really sits onto his drive leg during stride and lands in good direction to his target. His fastball had consistent late run while sitting 81-83 mph. 12/6 curveball has some depth to it at 66-68 mph. Also showed very good feel for his changeup (74-76 mph) which had a lot of sink and looks to be a plus pitch at the high school level.
5-foot-10, 155-pound athletic build. Left-handed hitter that starts open and gets back to even. Gets foot down on time and hands back for his load. Short, compact swing with 69 mph exit velocity and was 4.66 home to first. Over at shortstop he attacks the baseball with decent range and tends to field the ball into his body. Clean exchange and throws from a high-3/4 slot with 72 mph arm strength across the diamond. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery with a little pause at his balance point. Good direction and from a short, high-3/4 slot his fastball sits 73-76 mph. Spins a 11/5 breaking ball with average command at 63-65 mph. Showcased a changeup at 68-69 mph with good arm speed.
