8/16/14
6-foot-5, 220-pound big projectable build. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery that lands slightly closed. Easy arm action from a high ¾ slot with a fastball sitting 81-84 mph with some arm side run. Good arm speed on his breaking ball at 70-72 mph with good shape and an 11-to-5 break. He drops his arm slot a bit on his slider at 74-75 mph with hard late break. Right-handed hitter that starts open and gets to even. Has uphill swing and showed some power to pull side. Registered top exit velocity of 75 mph and was 5.20 home to first.

8/3/14
6-foot-5, 220 pound projectable body. The right-hander has an real high ceiling with and easy delivery and easy arm with not much effort. He closes himself off a bit which will cause some trouble getting to glove side. He throws from a high ¾ slot with his fastball sitting 83-85 mph with some down angle. His curveball has good shape and he has some feel of throwing it. The curve sits 73-75 mph with a good 11/5 break. With his projection this is a guy definitely to keep your eye on.

7/17/12
6-foot-4, 185-pound right-handed pitcher. Shows average arm action through a high ¾ arm slot. Delivery requires some effort. Tends to open the front side early. Fastball sits 77-79 mph. Velocity should continue to improve as he develops physically and better incorporates his lower half. His curveball shows 12/6 break at 66 mph. He also uses a 66-68 mph slider.
Colvin is a long, lanky prospect with plenty of room to fill out. In the field, he projects as a first baseman. He uses an over the top arm slot while generating a top velocity of 67 mph across the infield. At the plate, he hits with an open, wide set up in a slight crouch. During his load, he has a tendency to his bar his arm. He uses a slight uphill bat path and shows backside tendencies in his swing.
