Thoroughman has a small frame at 5-foot-7, 125-pounds. He has a very effortless lower half and short arm action as well. His fastball has slight arm side run to it at 68-69 mph. He throws from a low ¾ arm slot and allows his curveball to show some bite on a 11/5 plane at 58-59 mph. His changeup is thrown at 60-62 mph. He tends to throw across his body and not finish his pitches causing a drop in velocity. He would benefit from being more explosive with his legs and utilizing his lower body more. Up the middle the defender shows average footwork while playing light on his feet. Ball skills are on par for his class. Throws from a sidearm slot after a clean transfer. A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall stance. Leg kick timing trigger with slight back load to hands. Balanced launch with a slightly downhill path. Contact type guy with a compact stroke. Impressive feel for class. Should see added juice as physical maturation takes its course.
