6-foot-3 lean/athletic frame. Prolonged 1st inning due to things out of Ayers control, kept composure and stayed mature throughout. Fastball had running action, Changeup had arm side fade, with a Slider that was tight and thrown for strikes.

8/4/16 A very good athlete on the mound with a 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. A very easy, clean delivery with impressive arm speed. Fastball will sit 86-88 mph and he has ran it up to 89 mph on multiple occasions. Has shown the ability to hold velocity late into games. His breaking ball is a swing and miss pitch as it drops off the table at 76-77 mph on a near 12/6 plane. Also has very good feel for a changeup that he will throw in any count.
6/6/16 6-foot-1, 175-pound athletic, projectable frame. An ambush type hitter that starts tall before taking an aggressive stride forward. Relies on weight shift for timing. Hands move back and barrel gets flat early which causes it to lag through the zone at times. Works better to his pull side at this stage. Registered an exit velocity of 85 mph and ran a 7.8 60-yard dash. His arm profiles for the infield with exceptional touch and release. Top velocity of 79 mph across the infield. He fields with his hands separated from his body causing some defensive issues. Needs to clean that up to improve consistency and fluidity in his actions. A two-way prospect that offers a three pitch mix off the mound. Has some quickness to his arm with good direction to home plate. Fastball sat 80-84 mph with slight run. Curveball was sharp when down in the zone at 65-70 mph. Decent feel for his 73-75 mph changeup.
7/28/15 5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic build. Right-handed hitter that stands tall and starts open and gets to even. Uses a leg kick to load with a flat path and 78 mph exit velocity. Ran 4.94 home to first. In the infield he tends to sit back on the baseball and fields the ball into his body with clean exchange. Throws from a high-3/4 slot with 78 mph arm strength across the diamond. He was one of the top pitchers on the mound. Quick tempo delivery with a short stride and is on line at foot strike. Throws from a loos, high-3/4 slot with fastball sitting 82-84 mph with arm side run. Good feel of his breaking ball at 70-72 mph with good 11/5 tilt. Showcased a good changeup at 73-74 mph with good arm speed.
8/1/19: Athletic 6-foot-2, 180 pound righty with a quick arm. Fastball showed good sink and tail at 88-91 mph with good down angle from a three-quarter slot. Kept the ball down at the knees to both sides of the plate. His bread-n-butter was a hard 79-83 breaking ball which induced several swing/misses during his 4.1 inning start. (Seifert)
