8/5/18
5-foot-10, 155-pound. Regular picture with an athletic build. Explosive delivery that has some rhythm to it, uses a short arm action working out of a 3/4 slot. Fastball sat 83 to 87 with a slight run to the arm side. Curveball has an 11 to 5 shape and is fairly sharp at 70 to 73 mph. Also offered a 75 to 76 mile an hour change up that has slight sinking action.

8/5/18
5-foot-10, 155-pound. Right-handed hitting infield prospect. Balanced setup, uses a tow tap to initiate the lower half. Line drive approach, barrel works downhill registering an exit velocity of 82 mph. In the field, moves well laterally with good actions. Funnels ball into the body, quick release reaching 84 mph across the diamond. Recorded a 4.78 home to first time.

2/18/18
On the mound, the right hander uses a slower tempo delivery out of the windup. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a lot of effort. Front foot lands towards home plate and finishes in line. Fastball comes in hard downhill at 81-84 mph. Spins an 11-5 breaking ball with gradual break at 67-70 mph. Shows out pitch potential. Both offerings spotted up better out of the stretch during his bullpen session. In the infield defensively his glovework was nice and still developing on staying low and through the ball. Feet moved well taking nice angles to the ball. Arm strength was average across the diamond at 80 mph. Gross showed off a line drive swing from the right side. Starters in a taller setup prior to getting into his knee pinch/bat tip combination for his loading sequence. Movements are athletic and sync well. Offers a balanced combination of strength and bat speed through the zone. Swing is compact/level and he has feel for finding the barrel. Solid bat in general.
60-yard dash: 7.25
Infield Velocity: 80
Exit Velocity: 78
