Game Performance

Notes

Comments

7/01/19

Body Type: 6-foot-4, 195-pound thin frame.
Swing Mechanics:  Smooth and simple load into his back leg that gets in sync with his upper half.
Hit:  Level bat path that goes to the middle part of the field. Obvious physicality in the box. Has a chance for much more as bat speed catches up to strength.
Power: Flashed pop to the gaps. Top exit velocity off the bat in BP was 78.1.
Offensive Projection:  TBD.
Field: First baseman with the frame for the position. Plays with feel off the bag and some athleticism to his actions.
Throw: Clean arm with more than enough strength for the position.
Defensive Projection:  1B.

Body Type: 6-foot-4, 195-pound thin frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Average tempo delivery with some effort. Right hander throws from a ¾ arm slot with a long arm action. Generates most of his momentum from the upper half of his body.
Fastball: 72-76 mph. Shows late arm-side movement at times. 1600-1800 spin rate guy with high 90% efficiency.
Curveball: 64-66 mph. 11-5 shape sharp break with some depth.
Changeup: 65-67 mph. Third offering thrown with fastball-like arm speed.
Pitchability: Could be more consistent in the zone. Shows good feel for his breaking ball on the outer half.

10/14/18
A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, slightly closed stance. Simple load followed by a downhill path. Young hitter that offers more present strength than speed. Strength is an above average tool for class. Path is slightly downhill through contact. Expect much more juice as speed catches up to strength. Middle of the lineup frame. Offers a developing skill set behind the plate. Actions are smooth and he creates good direction back there. Actions have room to speed up in general.
Pop Times: 2.38-2.56
Catcher Velocity: 65
Exit Velocity: 74
