1/15/18
Ran a 7.2 60-yard dash. At the plate the right-hander has a fluid, repeatable loading sequence. Movements are well timed and create solid energy into contact. Barrel finds plane early allowing him to use the entire field. Does a nice job of staying inside the baseball, generating easy gap pop. Drove the ball with authority to his opposite field gap. Registered an exit velocity of 81 mph. Behind the plate he popped consistently in the 2.2’s with a low of 2.19. Showed 74 mph arm strength to second base. Should see easy improvements in pop times as exchange skills clean up with maturity.
7/12/17 At the plate he starts tall and open. Moves his hands back fluidly during his short stride. His vertical barrel launch position creates whip and plane. Bat has some quickness to it on a mostly level path. Strength is developing. Bat plays at the top of the lineup and should see added juice as he fills out his frame. From the crouch, he transfers the ball cleanly to the ear. Transfer is quick while he rotates his hips towards second. Arm slot is a higher 3/4 release with solid arm speed. 60-yard dash: 7.19 Catcher Velocity: 74 Pop Times: 2.02-2.12 Exit Velocity: 80
