With the 2018 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2018 Spring Team Preview: Springfield Northeastern Jets

Team Name: Springfield Northeastern Jets
Head Coach: Will Nichols
Division: III
2017 Record: 16-13
Conference Record: Ohio Heritage South, 12-1, 1st Place
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/4

2018 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching
  • Experience

Coach Outlook: We have a good nucleus back with depth in pitching. We move to the North side of the conference this year which is going to be tough. We will need to rely on our returners to provide leadership as we go through the conference schedule.

PBR Outlook: 12-1 in conference is always nice, but the group returning in 2018 for the Jets will look to take the next step overall. Look for coach Nichols to have his team playing its best ball come tournament time.
