10/14/18 Really liked what I saw from Brown on both sides of the ball. Undersized but he can really play. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Simple yet efficient movements prior to launch. Nice, level path through the zone. Balances intent/control well. Solid hit tool with much more pop than frame would suggest. All fields hitter with present gap abilities. Some of the more athletic actions we saw in the infield. Feet really work, creating angles to maintain rhythm through fielding. Moves well, covering ground to both sides. Skill set plays on both sides of the infield with a slightly more natural fit at second base. Infield Velocity: 78 Exit Velocity: 84
2/4/18 5-foot-6, 135 pound prospect has a smaller frame but makes up for it with effort. In the infield his footwork was good attacking the ball from good angles. His throwing velocity across the diamond at 75 mph taking good momentum into his throws after fielding. While batting Brown created good separation in his swing leading to a good load and consistent swing. His swing was more level and produced excellent contact during his outing while also recording a strong 80 mph exit velocity. Regardless of his build, Brown exerts good intent and energy into each action he performed. On the mound, the right handed pitcher displays average arm speed while throwing through a 3/4 slot. Displays easiness in effort throughout delivery. Locates in the zone consistently with his 73-76 mph; pitch shows some arm-side run. Throws a 67-68 mph breaking ball that displays gradual movement through an 11/5 plane. Best off-speed pitch is his 70-72 mph changeup. Consistently commands his changeup in the zone while it features some good fading action.
