2/4/17 At the plate Keller starts slight open prior to a leg kick load and controlled stride. Hands stay loose during as they move to launch. Swing is compact and level with above average bat speed. Consistently found the barrel while working to the middle of the field. Behind the plate he has flexible hips and works from a low crouch. Footwork creates solid direction to second base during his transfer. Throws showed carry and accuracy. In the outfield he uses athletic footwork and plays through the ball well. Has confidence to his glove and showed very impressive arm strength to home plate.

1/28/17 This was my first time seeing Keller. He looks the part at 6-foot, 170-pounds, but his frame seems longer. Really incorporates his entire body in his delivery. Generates good torque, but at times, he creates some directional issues in his delivery.. Some stabbing action on the back side. Fastball sat in the low 80’s, touching up to 84. Tended to be up in the zone, but had life to his fastball. Breaking ball had sharp 11/5 break, but similar to his fastball, tended to be up. Located his changeup for strikes at 73-74 mph. Also threw 84 mph from the outfield.
1/22/17 Had an impressive outing on the mound. Arm works well through a near over the top slot. Fastball was anywhere from 81-83 mph with slight run at times. Needs to be in the zone more consistently. His 11/5 shaped breaking ball showed signs of being a plus pitch. Coming in at 69-73 mph, the pitch showed very sharp, late break. Changeup showed late run and sink while consistently being in the zone at 72-74 mph. A righty swinger that showed rhythm to his loading sequence. Bat has definite quickness to it as it gets through the zone on a mostly level path. Showed the ability to produce backspin on his line drives. Gap to gap pop at this stage. Middle of the lineup type guy. In the infield he displayed quick footwork and confidence in his glove. Moves well laterally and actions stay on the move. Would like to see him play through the baseball more efficiently to maintain momentum into his throws.
1/16/17 Athletic 6-foot-0, 170-pound prospect. Short arm action through a high ¾ slot. Shows nice rhythm using a high lift and counter turn in his delivery. Creates some deception hiding the baseball with a high glove side and closed landing. The righty possess a 79-82 mph running fastball. Keller complements his fastball with a sharp 12/6 curveball that sat between 69-73 mph. Also showed good feel for a 72-75 mph changeup with arm side run. Starts in an open set up in the plate. Keeps his hands loose during his small leg kick load and controlled stride. Path is slightly uphill and he showed impressive pop to the opposite field gap. Very talented catching prospect. Brings athleticism to the position. Footwork is athletic and efficient. Solid transfer skills and well above average arm strength. In the infield he uses quick footwork and fields the baseball out in front of his body. Glove skills are adequate and he showed quickness to his transfer. An outfielder that has solid skills across the board. Footwork is efficient and athletic. Plays through the ball well and has confidence in his glove skills. Throws were on target with carry.
