Eric Nienaber: RHP/1B, (2027) St. Xavier, OH. 6-foot-3, 172-pound. (57.5 mph bat speed average). (17.7 mph hand speed average). Began in a quiet tall stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Had developing bat speed, loose uphill swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 73 mph; has choppy feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a consistent arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 8.6. On the mound, showed electric arm speed with a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and shows some effort. Has slight running action. (Max spin 2141; Avg 1986). Threw a 11/5 curveball with some action. (Max spin 2174; Avg 2098).
