Eli Allen: RHP/2B, (2023) Wyoming,. 140-pound. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 78 mph. Started in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a quick stride. Bat speed is efficient, has a short simple swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 77 mph; had soft hands, consistent footwork, and a natural exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. On the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action with consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Sat with his fastball at 77-78 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin ; Avg ). Shows some action on his 11/5 curveball (67-69). (Max spin ; Avg ). He shows slight action on his changeup (71-72).
