RHP/1B, (2023) Vandalia-Butler, OH. 6-foot-5, 205-pound long physical frame. Solid on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Has downhill shoulder with a strong balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 81-83 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1999; Avg 1831). Has slight sweeping action on his 11/5 curveball (73-74). (Max spin 1946; Avg 1927). Showed a 10/4 slider (73-75) with late tight action. (Max spin 1965; Avg 1458).
Evan Ables: RHP/1B, (2023) Vandalia-Butler, OH. 6-foot-5, 205-pound. Solid on the mound, showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with some arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. He has downhill shoulders and an athletic balance point. Lands soft with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 79-82 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1914; Avg 1702). His 11/5 curveball (70-72) showed slurvey action. (Max spin 1970; Avg 1756). He shows fading action on his changeup (72-73).
1/20/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Very projectable frame. Long lever type who extends down the mound well. Delivery doesn't require a ton of effort as arm travels through a near 3/4 slot. Much more to come ha she grows into frame. Impressive control over body considering length and age.
Fastball: Regular ASR. Expect more velo down the road. Presently sits 75-76 mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1600-1900
Curveball: 11/5 shaped, gradually breaking curveball. Looks to have feel for it. 60-64 mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1400-1600
Changeup: Decent sell / maintains arm speed. Pitch has some late dive to it.
Pitchability: Strike thrower for the most part.
1/20/20 Position Player
Hit: Righty swinger with a simple loading sequence showing a short stride during back laod to hands. Level path with some lag. Stronger than he is quick with his hands presently. Saw most natural ball flight to the opposite field.
Power: Line drive pop with much more to come.
Offensive Projection: Middle frame/ceiling.

Field:Lanky defender who moves well off the bag. Ball skills are developing. Skill set fits the 1B position.
Throw: Long, loose arm with more to come.
