7/12/17
A left-handed pitcher with a long, athletic, and projectable frame. The southpaw throws with a slower tempo delivery. Motion has fluidity. Utilizes his entire upper half into his delivery, torquing hard towards the plate. Front foot lands slightly open upon impact. Releases the ball from a ¾ arm slot with a longer arm action. Arm is very loose. Fastball shows some natural cut action. Stays downhill through the glove. Above average pitch. Curveball comes in like a slurve with heavy rotation. Pitch comes in on a 3-9 trajectory. Also offers an above average changeup in his mix. Offering falls off the table late with serious swing and miss ability. Throws the changeup with very similar arm speed to the changeup. Very talented arm on the mound.

6/6/17
A talented southpaw in the 2018 class. On the bump Priestley uses an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Arm move through a near high-¾ slot with obvious arm speed. Arm action is clean and the ball comes out of his hand well. Pounds the zone with his 84-87 mph fastball that has arm side run. His best secondary offering is his slider. The pitch has solid depth and cuts across the plate sharply at 72-75. Also spins a 2/8 shaped breaking ball at 62-64. The pitch has big, gradual break. Also showed feel for a 76-77 mph changeup that has similar run to his fastball.
1/29/17
A southpaw with a very projectable frame 6-foot, 165-pound frame. Had a very impressive showing on the mound. Fastball sat 84-87 mph while majority of his pitches did not get below 86 mph. Fastball showed a lot of natural ASR and occasional sink. Best secondary pitch was the changeup which was thrown at 72-73 mph and had good downward action. Curveball shows potential and the correct shape and spin. Expect for it to get much better as it is thrown harder.
7/8/15
6-foot, 145-pound skinny projectable frame, with room to fill out with. From first base he uses good footwork to move around the bag and showed the ability to move well laterally off the bag. He throws with a long, clean arm action coming from a ¾ slot, reaching a top velocity of 78 mph across the infield. On the mound he has repeatable mechanics, with a straight up and down leg lift in a delivery in which he uses regular effort. He lands in a straight line at foot strike, finishing with his momentum carrying toward home plate. He throws with a clean arm action using average arm speed, coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball has good arm-side run action and will mix in a two-seam fastball sitting between 76-81 mph. His curveball had gradual break with 1/7 tilt at 66-68 mph. He threw a slider with tighter break than his curveball at 70-71 mph. He threw his changeup near fastball arm speed with sink at 66-67 mph.
