Has advance actions for his age and is able to remain fluid an athletic on the move. Has obvious confidence in his glove with the ability to attack the right hop. Is able to maintain momentum through fielding position and with loose arm action he showed off 84 mph arm strength across the infield. At the plate he the right-hander has fluid movements to efficiently create energy and transfer that energy into contact. Barrel flashes through the zone on a level path allowing him to consistently produce line drives and create backspin. Exit velocity was 93 mph and he ran a 7.16 60-yard dash.
1/16/16 5-foot-10,165-pound thinner, athletic frame. The middle infielder displayed fluid and athletic actions, while using excellent footwork to play through the ball. Vera showed the ability to go to his glove side and to his backhand with ease. Using short, clean arm action he was 82 mph across the diamond. At the plate Vera starts slightly open and uses a leg kick to get back to even. He has an efficient scap load with his upper half which allows his bat to stay flat through the zone. Showed the ability to consistently square the ball up in batting practice and decent bat speed by registering an exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran a 7.38 60 yard dash.
6/30/15 5-foot-8, 165-pound thinner, athletic body frame. Infielder uses good footwork to approach ground balls, playing through the baseball nicely. He fields with soft hands out in front of his body and throws with a clean, short arm action coming from a ¾ slot using 80 mph velocity across the infield. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance getting himself squared back up to even. Hands start high, bringing them down and back to load. Swings with an upward bat path, finishing high with a two-handed follow through. He reached a top exit velocity of 81 mph and ran a 4.72 out of the batter’s box to first base.
