Field: Very mechanically sound, sure-handed defender who showed well. Made all the plays asked of him. Middle skill set. Throw: Respectable strength. Defensive Projection: MIF.
6/11/19
Body Type: 5-foot-10, 150-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Tight and quick arm action but slightly late missing up arm side sometimes. Dynamic lower half. Has a lot of upper body flexion after release.
Fastball: 71-74mph. Slight arm side movement with ability to locate in the zone consistently.
Curveball: 61-64mph. Sharp movement on a 11/5 plane. Thrown in the zone most of the time.
Pitchability: In the zone most of the time with both pitches.
Additional Comments: Hit by ball off of bat so outing was cut short.
Body type: 5-foot-10, 150-pound thin and athletic frame.
Swing mechanics: Very smooth and athletic leg kick that works while his hands stay loaded back.
Hit: Level bat path that is twitchy, and produces line drives. Natural ball flight to the middle of the field.
Power: Pop to the pull side with more to come as he develops.
Offensive projection: To be determined.
Field: Has athleticism to his actions. Plays low too and through the baseball with some ball skills for sure.
Throw: Average arm strength that projects for more.
Defensive Projection: MIF.
2/10/19
Body Type: 5-foot-10 150-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a medium, open stance. Uses a toe tap load and has a slight armbar with his lead arm. Slight cast of the barrel with a flat bat path.
Hit: Showed pretty good barrel control.
Power: 75 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Swing shows some pull tendencies with a line drive/ hard ground ball type of bat path. Good bat to ball ability.
Field: In the infield he showed a very smooth release with below average angles through the ball. Fielded very two handed. Throw: 72 mph across the diamond.
Run: 4.64 home to first. Defensive Projection: Present skill set would profile him best as a 2B type guy at the next level.
2/10/19 Pitching
Body Type: 5-foot-10 150-pound prospect with room to add strength. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Work out of the stretch. A little funk with some moving parts. A lot of extension through release, requires some effort. Fastball: 72-74 mph fastball worked out of a ¾ slot with slight sinking action. Showed occasional cut when thrown glove side.
Curveball: 60-61 mph curveball shows early with gradual break with a near 12/6 shape. Changeup: 66-67 mph changeup is thrown with fastball like arm speed. The pitch is mostly straight with slight cutting action. Pitchability: Struggled to repeat the delivery which likely caused him to be a little erratic during the session. Needs to continue to develop both secondary offerings as they are presently below average offerings.
