Scouting Notes:Southpaw on the mound with an uptempo delivery. Rolls through a high leg lift into a drop and drive loading sequence down the hill with his lower half. Lands in line to home plate with a direct finish. Arm shows above average arm speed through a near over the top slot. Slot creates downhill action on the fastball. Breaking ball pairs well with the fastball, showing sharp downward action. Stuff was above average for class just needs to be in the zone more consistently.

Body Type: 6-foot, 185-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Tight, over the top, arm action that creates a tough angle for hitters from both sides of the plate to deal with. Good feel for lower half that create both energy and direction down the hill.
Fastball: 78-81 mph with slight arm side. Good potential.
Curveball: 64-67 mph with a 1/7 shape. Offering shows promise.
Pitchability: In the zone for the most part.
Additional Comments: Younger athlete already showing potential with fastball. Definitely an athlete to watch grow.  

Body Type: 5-foot-11 185-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: At the plate he starts in a balanced setup with minimal load. Showed good barrel control and decently strong hands.
Hit: Good bat to ball ability.
Power: 79 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Shows some good promise in his swing. Raw power will continue to improve. Shows potential to be a gap to gap guy.
Run: 4.78 home to 1st.
Field: From the outfield Rutz attacks the ball aggressively and plays through the ball well.
Throw: 84 mph throw from the outfield.
Defensive Projection: Shows decent athleticism and solid arm strength. Projects as a corner OF guy at the next level.

Body Type: 5-foot-11 185-pound prospect with an athletic build.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Athletic delivery, good rhythm. Strong lower half working in-line. Uses regular effort working through a ¾ slot.
Fastball: 79-81 mph fastball works downhill with above average run to the arm side.
Curveball: 68-69 mph slider works on a 1/7 plane. The pitch is fairly sharp and is a true out pitch.
Changeup: 72-73 mph changeup is thrown with deceptive arm action showing occasional fade.
Pitchability: Presently all offerings are above average for his age. Slider has potential to be a plus pitch. Was a erratic with the fastball at times.
Role: Could fit in a number of roles. Stuff is good, needs to improve command if he wants to be a legitimate option as a starter.
