Jackson Campbell: RHP/OF, (2024) St. Xavier OH. Two-way prospect. At the plate he uses a slight back load to hands during controlled stride for timing. Uses a balance launch followed by a mostly level path to contact. Stays inside the baseball well, allowing for all field flight. Tools wise he shows you a comparable offering of strength/speed to swing with both tools still developing. In the outfield he approaches the baseball with fluid footwork/solid tempo. Showcased ball skills on par for class during play through. ¾ release with developing strength and present accuracy. On the mound he works with a smooth, controlled tempo to a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. Arm comes through a near ¾ slot w/looseness to it. Ball comes out easy and he should easily add velocity as he matures physically. Fastball presently sits in the mid 60s. Secondary wise he uses both a breaking ball and changeup. Curveball has a higher spin to velocity ratio as it shows a slurvish/10-4 shape through the zone. Expect more bite as he hits impending velocity jump. Also offers a changeup with good sell, that has similar run/dive to fastball.

5-foot-4, 130-pound projectable body frame. On the mound the righty fills up the zone with strikes. Has minimal effort to his delivery and incorporates his lower half with good hip loading action, landing in a straight line at foot strike finishing with his momentum carrying in a straight line toward home. Arm speed is developing coming from a ¾ slot. Fastball is mostly true through the zone ranging from 61-65 mph. Curveball has an 11/5 shape with good depth and mostly gradual break at 60-62 mph. Mixes in a changeup throwing it with good arm speed and has sinking action.
