9/24/17
A two-way prospect in the 2019 class. At the plate he has a balanced setup. Swing is level and compact. Strength/Batspeed combination is above average for his class. Swings with intent and showed impressive pull side pop. Middle of the lineup type guy. At first base he brings above average athleticism to the position. Moves well off the bag, showing solid lateral mobility. Glove skills are there in and out of funnel. Solid defender. On the bump he offers a three-pitch mix while working through a high-¾ slot. Arm is clean and he showed developing arm strength. Fastball sat 71-73 with some run and sink to it at times. Breaking ball moves on a 1/7 plane with gradual actions at 61-64 mph. Changeup looks to be an above average offering. The pitch has a fastball look to it before showing late fade at 66-67 mph.

7/5/17
A left-handed hitter that starts in a wider setup. Uses a short stride for timing while taking his hands back prior to launch. A strong kid with above average bat speed. Path is mostly level with some natural loft. A pull side guy who has well above average pop when he stays through contact. Would be aided by having his barrel flow to the middle of the field. Has potential to be a middle of the order guy. Brings well above average athleticism to the first base position. Footwork is clean and has feel around the bag. Glove skills are there. On the bump the southpaw has an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Uses a quick lift prior to his drop and drive load. Arm action is shorter with some quickness to his arm. Fastball showed some sink at times and he commands the pitch well. Spins a tight, 11/5 shaped breaking ball. The pitch isn’t a huge breaker but has enough depth and sharpness to miss barrels. Also looked very comfortable with his changeup. Maintains fastball arm speed on the pitch that had some dive to it.
