2/18/18

6-foot-1, 190 pound two-way prospect with sturdy build. Behind the dish he catches out of a balanced crouch position. Received it very well showing nice ability. Footwork and footspeed was average. Ball to hand transfer speed was effective. Threw with solid arm strength at 78 mph down to second base. Pop times were 2.01-2.09 seconds. Very athletic right handed prospect. On the mound his delivery is fluent with an average paced tempo. Throws from a ¾ arm slot and utilizes his lower half well. Directionally stays towards the plate through release. Fastball comes in on a downhill plane sitting 79-82 mph.  Shows slight cut action. Breaking ball breaks 12-6 sharply at 68-69 mph. Showed signs of being a swing and miss pitch when around the zone. Changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed showing some downward trajectory at 76-77 mph. A young catcher with a solid skill set behind the dish. Looked the part in bullpens and showed above average exchange abilities during his defensive workout. Strength stands out at the play, showing easy gap pop in BP. Does a nice job of staying under control with an intent drive swing. Middle of the lineup type.

60-yard dash: 7.43
Pop Times: 2.01-2.09
Catcher Velocity: 78
Exit Velocity: 89

7/05/17

A right-handed hitter that starts in a wider setup. Uses a smooth leg lift to get thing started. Hands move back to launch during his stride. A back leg hitter that takes an uphill path to the baseball. Would be aided by leveling out path to let his impressive natural tools show. Bat speed looked electric at times and he showed solid strength through contact. Could grow into a top of the lineup guy. Behind the plate he starts in a lower crouch. Gets out of his stance well. Footwork creates solid direction. Exchange skills are well above average for his age. Solid catch and throw guy.

Home-1st: 4.81
Pop Time: 2.05-2.11
Catcher Velocity: 76
Exit Velocity: 85
