Jonathan Alcorn: OF/RHP, (2023) Hamilton, OH. 5-foot-9, 190-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 94 mph. (68.6 mph bat speed average). (20.1 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Bat speed is quick, shows a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid in the outfield, he used momentum and arm strength to record throws up to 92 mph;showed a natural exchange, consistent feet, and firm hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.99. On the mound, showing some arm speed he used a consistent arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 87-88 mph; showed slight running action with hard movement. (Max spin 2292; Avg 2180). Showed a 11/5 curveball (73-74) with some sweeping action. (Max spin 2500; Avg 2493). His changeup (77-78) had slight fading action.

Field: Smooth quick footwork. Comfortable approach with an conservative tempo.
Throw: 86mph.
Defensive Projection: CF.
Delivery Notes: A stiffer yet explosive delivery with a lower ¾ arm slot. Advanced explosiveness that makes this athlete a must follow.
Fastball: 82-84mph with a 2000-2200rpm spin rate on Rapsodo with arm side run.
Curveball: 71-72mph with a 1900-2100rpm spin rate on Rapsodo with 10-4 movement. Bends in CB's for K's
Changeup: 72-74mph CH gets good fade w/arm sell

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Explosive delivery with advanced arm speed for class. Functionally athletic kid who is very mobile.

Fastball: 78-81mph. Electric pitch for class. Sat upper 70s, touching 80 mph with consistent arm side action. Dominated hitter with the pitch throughout outing.

Curveball: 66-68mph. Very sharp pitch with present swing and miss. Dives across the zone with late, heavy action.

Pitchability: Strike thrower.

Additional Comments: Power arm with legit stuff. One of the top arm talents in his class.

Swing Mechanics: Righty swinger with a fluid, athletic load that leads to a mostly balanced launch.
Hit: Swing works and he has intent behind it. Balanced offering of strength/speed to hands. Showed more authority to pull side presently.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run producer potential.
Field: In the infield he plays with athletic, well timed footwork in his approach. Ball skills are above average for class and he gets rid of the baseball quickly.
Throw: ¾ right-hander with obvious jump out of the hand. Puts touch on the baseball and has feel for accuracy.
