10/15/16

6-foot, 175-pound athletic build. On the mound the right-hander showed off a three pitch mix while working through a near over the top slot. Arm is loose with definite quickness to it. Fastball has slight run to it and he ran it up to 86 mph. Was very comfortable with his changeup and it was the best one we saw all day. The pitch has a fastball look to it before showing heavy run and sink. Also flashed a breaking ball that had signs of sharpness to it on an 11/5 plane. A two-way prospect that ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. An ambush type hitter that uses little load prior to his aggressive stride forward. Takes a flat path to the baseball with above average bat speed. Showed impressive pop to his pull side. Top exit velocity was 86 mph. In the outfield he uses aggressive footwork and gets to the ball quickly. Will need to learn to field the ball on glove side foot as he tends to field in the middle of his body which impedes him playing through the ball efficiently. Threw to home plate with 83 mph arm strength.

8/2/16
6-foot-3, 170-pound long, projectable body frame. From the outfield he uses good footwork while doing a good job of gaining ground before fielding ground balls and carries his momentum smoothly into his throws. Takes good routes to the ball, fielding ground balls on his glove side. Throws with a clean arm action through a ¾ slot using 84 mph velocity from the outfield. Left-handed hitter starts from a tall stance, using a toe tap for a timing mechanism. Has a fluid load with his hands moving just past his back shoulder. Swings with a flat bat path through the zone, following through with a one-handed finish. Showed the ability to use both sides of the field during his round of batting practice. Recorded a top exit velocity of 82 mph and ran a 4.19 home to first base time. On the mound he uses regular, but not a whole lot of effort to his delivery. Lands more closed at foot strike and finishes with his momentum starting to leak toward first base side. Throws with average arm speed, coming through a ¾ slot. His fastball has some arm-side run to it ranging between 82-83 mph, and can maintain that velocity from the stretch. The curveball has good depth, with some late break at an 11/5 plane between 67-69 mph. Showcased a changeup using fastball arm speed at 74 mph.
