Josiah Erd: RHP/C, (2023) St. Francis De Sales Toledo, OH. Eastern Kentucky Commit, 6-foot-3, 180-pound. Solid on the mound, showed consistent arm speed with a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Has a consistent balance point and downhill shoulders. Lands square with recoil finish. Threw his fastball 86-89 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2311; Avg 2236). His changeup (77-78) showed slight fading action. Shows late tight action on his 10/4 slider (71-74). (Max spin ; Avg ).
Josiah Erd: C/RHP, (2023) St. Francis De Sales Toledo, OH. 6-foot-3, 180-pound projectable frame. In the box, Erd's best exit velocity was 87 mph. Begins in an open athletic stance with a quick controlled load, then uses a leg kick. Had a flat swing plane, and his bat speed was average. Laterally, his movements were athletic. Behind the plate, he made strong throws to second and produced an efficient position velocity of 79 mph; shows a clean exchange, athletic consistent feet, and soft hands. Showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.96-2.02. Clean setup with above average flexibility. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.2. Projectable on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed a strong balance point. Threw his fastball 84-87 mph; has arm side command and running action. Showed a 11/5 curveball (70-74) with plus action. His changeup (75-79) had fading action and arm side command.

Hit: Right handed hitter. Balanced, athletic set up in the box.Utilizes a leg kick along with a smoother, athletic loading sequence. Level path through the zone and was able to generate backspin to gaps.
Power: 85mph tee ev. Present gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup/ run producer traits.
Field: Worked as a C. Recorded a 2.06-2.19 pop time, with a smooth transfer. Times will continue to improve with development of
footwork and physical development.
Throw: 71 mph from the C position. Present arm strength.

Delivery Notes: Right handed pitcher. Smooth, fluid tempo with short and quick arm action from a ¾ arm slot.
Fastball: 78-82 mph. Fastball shows regular arm side run, with present arm strength.
Curveball: 63-66mph. 11/5 break with signs of sharpness.
Changeup: 70-73 mph. Able to maintain arm speed with fade.
