2/2/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Athletic stance while throwing out of a lower ¾ slot with a long arm release. Fastball: Shows arm side run, won’t overpower but is effective with location and command coming in at 72-74mph. Fastball Spin Rate: 1971-2073 Curveball: Sharp run coming from a 10/4 axis that will keep hitters off balance at 64-66mph. Curveball Spin Rate: 1860-1955 Changeup: lesser developed offering but shows slight sink at 70mph
2/3/19 Body Type: 5-foot-9, 133 pounds. Lean, athletic frame. Swing Mechanics: Vertical barrel with a double tap load. Hit: Level with some lag. Simple stroke with developing natural tools. Swing offers a comparable arsenal of speed/strength. Power: 74 mph exit velocity. Contact guy with more to come. Offensive Projection: TBD. Run: 7.65 60-yard dash. Field: Plays under control with direct routes in the infield. Can field from heels. Hands are soft with adequate ball skills. Throw: Average arm for class with mostly accurate throws across the infield. Defensive Projection: 2B.
2/3/19 Pitching
Body Type: 5-foot-9, 133 pounds. Lean, athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Produces a longer arm action releasing out of a lower ¾ arm slot. Displays an upbeat tempo that could slow down a little bit as when he did, he saw better control on pitches.
Fastball: 69-72 mph. Has arm-side run behind it. Had more effective command out of the stretch rather than his windup as he followed through better.
Slider: 64-66 mph. Showed some sharper run to it later as it approached the hitting zone.
Changeup: 64-66 mph. Developing still. Grip and release point are progressing.
Pitchability: Young righty has room to grow. Overall showed nice command of his pitches. Fastball is his most effective right now but slider isn’t far behind. All will improve as he gets older.
Role: TBD.
2/4/18 A contact type guy from the right side. Movements are simple prior to swing decision, creating easy timing. Swing is compact with some lag to the barrel. Natural tools are developing through the zone. A table setter type bat at this stage. In the infield he gets solid reactions and attacks the ball of the bat. Uses direct footwork and plays from heels inside funnel. Ball skills are developing. Arm strength would be area for improvement. On the bump the right-hander offers a three-pitch mix through a near ¾ slot. Arm action is loose and slingy, projecting for more strength. Combination of arm action and slot creates regular run on his 65-67 mph. Tosses a slurvy breaking ball on a 10/4 plane at 57-60 mph. Also mixed in a changeup at 62-64 mph.

Infield Velocity: 72
