Kaiden Vaughn: RHP/2B, (2022) Buckeye Central, OH. 5-foot-10, 190-pound solid physical build. (72.10 mph bat speed average). (21.58 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall balanced stance with a quick compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick, displayed a short flat swing plane and level finish. Capable In the infield, showed average feet, a clean exchange, and sure hands. Fielded the ball out front with average movement laterally. Recorded a 60 time of 7.47 at the event.
2/16/20 Position Player
Hit: Aggressive swinger form the right side. Quiet up top during loading sequence as lower half flows through a double tap timing trigger. Both strength and speed are apparent in stroke with strength playing a slightly louder role to hands. Ball jumps when squared.
Power: Top batting practice exit velocity was 82.4 and he reached a top batting practice distance of 283 feet.
Offensive Projection: Middle potential.
Field: Registered pop times ranging between 2.12-2.23. Starts in a lower crouch and maintains height for the most part through transfer. Exchange abilities are on par for class. Also worked out at third base where he showed a serviceable skill set. Tempo has some pace to it and he looked to be sure-handed.
Throw: Tossed it across the diamond at 69 mph and showed 70 mph arm strength from the crouch.
Defensive Projection: C/3B.
2/16/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Drop and drive actions on the mound with good pace to his delivery. Ball comes out without a ton of effort. Compact arm action through a near high-¾ slot.
Fastball: 73-76 mph, mostly true through the zone with occasional arm side action.
Breaking Ball: 64-68 mph,
Changeup: Tossed both a changeup and a knuckleball. Appears to have feel for both with changeup showing fade and knuckle having respectable dance.
