12/2/18 At the plate O’Connor is a left handed hitting prospect. He starts in a little wider setup but remains balanced throughout his load which is initiated by a modified leg kick. O’Connor appears to have strong hands through his swing but he does somewhat cast his barrel which leads to a natural pull tendency. He has a somewhat flat bat path but good barrel control and is able to find the barrel routinely. He registered an exit velocity of 91 mph. A bit raw defensively but bat will get him opportunities at the next level. Likely ends up at first base. 60-yard Dash: 7.12 Infield Velocity: 74 Outfield Velocity: 80 Exit Velocity: 91
6/6/18 A physical lefty bat that took one of the more impressive BPs of the two days. Raw power is through the roof, showing the ability to drive the ball with authority to pull side. Ball looks different off his bat. Launched a few moonshots over the fence in BP. A little raw at first base but the bat will get him scholarship looks. 60-yard dash: 7.22 Infield Velocity: 75 Exit Velocity: 89
2/17/18 A lefty swinger that took one of, if not the loudest BPs of the winter. It was just batting practice but O’connor was destroying balls to both gaps, showing power to all fields. Combines high intent with a knack for finding the barrel, displaying advanced strength and above average bat speed through the zone. A bit raw defensively with a higher ceiling at first than in the outfield but if that hit tool translate to game he is going to be a late steal for a college program. Home to First: 4.51 Infield Velocity: 75 Outfield Velocity: 79 Exit Velocity: 94
2/18/17 6-foot, 185-pound prospect. Defensively, he comes off the bag with a sense of urgency. Short arm action with top velocity of 74 mph. Transfer shows some length to it at times. Offensively, he showed impressive natural tools with some upside at the plate. Has room to grow mechanically but the tools are there to be a run producer at the next level. Ball jumps off his bat when he finds the barrel, especially to his pull side. Has a tendency to leave weight on his back leg at contact, causing an uphill path. Would like to see him transfer more weight into contact to flatten out path.
Home to First: 4.42 Infield Velocity: 74 Exit Velocity: 92
7/26/16 6-foot, 175-pound athletic build. Ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. At the plate he starts in a tall setup before his short stride forward. Hands move back before getting through the zone on a level path with average batspeed. Good strength through contact. Top exit velocity was 86 mph. At first base he was able to make most of the plays and showed feel for the position. Will need to continue to improve footwork. Threw across the infield with 69 mph arm strength.
