At third base he uses direct footwork, cutting down distance off the bat. Plays fast and field the ball in the middle of his body. Displayed developing ball skills and above average lateral mobility. Would be aided by creating angles with his footwork prior to fielding to maintain momentum through the baseball. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Goes with a leg kick for timing mechanism while taking hands slightly back to launch. Path is slightly downhill with barrel whip through the zone. Swing is compact, displaying line drive capabilities. Worked mostly through an inside out approach, spraying line drives to opposite field gap. On the mound, the long-limbed right-hander works at a quicker tempo. Lift works above the belt creates some tilt during the stride. Arm action is long working through a high-¾ slot with regular effort. Fastball was mostly straight sitting 73-75 mph. Shows feel for the breaking ball, the pitch has 11/5 shape and tight spin at 62-64 mph. Third offering was a 66-67 mph changeup with slight arm side run.
On the mound the right-hander has a fluid tempo to a delivery he is able to repeat. Does a nice job creating energy with his lower half. Works through an over the top slot with above average arm speed. Fastball works downhill at 70-72 mph. Spins two different breaking balls. Has more feel for his 11/5 shaped breaking ball that had some sharpness to it at 63-66 mph. Slider had sharper action and looks to be an out pitch as he develops feel. Also flashed a changeup at 66-68 mph. The pitch is an above average offering with late fade, maintaining fastball arm speed. A righty swinger that uses a leg kick to get things started. Hands move slightly back prior to launch. Path is level with definite quickness to his bat. Ball comes off his bat well and he was able to use the entire field, producing backspin the the opposite field. At third base he moves light on his feet and takes direct routes to the baseball. Fields from heels in the middle of his body. Moves well laterally and looked confident to his backhand. Above average athlete for the position. Glove skills are developing.
