6/21/17
A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall setup. Starts his swing very balanced. Uses a knee pinch to get things started. Hands stay quiet throughout load. Path is level and swing is compact. Barrel is very fluid through the zone. Solid natural tools for his age, with much room for development. Top of the lineup guy with some quickness to his bat. Line drive hitter who has feel for the barrel. A very projectable frame on the mound. The right-handed works exclusively from the stretch. Uses long back arm action and works through a high-¾ slot. Arm is clean and arm speed is developing. Fastball is mostly straight through the zone, sitting 73-77 mph. Spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with gradual break at 63-65 mph. Showed decent feel for the pitch that looks to be an above average offering. In the outfield he uses calm footwork getting to the baseball. Plays through the ball well and transition into his throws smoothly. Arm action is longer and throws were mostly accurate. In the infield he uses quick, athletic footwork. Showed a very fast first step, with good reactions off the bat. Glove skills stay on the move. Solid young infielder.
