Arguably the most accurate barrel in his class. Simple, yet athletic actions before pulling the trigger. Swing finds plane very early allowing to use the entire field while creating a large timing window. Won’t overwhelm you with burst but records multi hit games almost every time we see him. Struck out only one time his entire high school season. As a defender he has a left-field look to him with the ball skills to get a look at the other two spots if he can develop that arm strength some more.

Playing a bit banged up, Maxwell has a toughness about him on the field. At the plate, the left-handed hitter stands with his hands held high and the bat wrapped before loading down and back with a knee-knock hang leading to a longer stride. Though his head and body drift forward a bit, Maxwell is able to make up for it with advanced athleticism and feel for the barrel. His bat to ball skill should allow him to continue to have success moving forward as he makes adjustments. Constantly playing the game hard, Maxwell’s quick hands allowed him to spray line drives, especially to the middle of the field.

5-foot-8, 150 pound prospect showed a nice glove defensively in the outfield. Does a solid job getting to the side of the ball and taking momentum through it into his throws. Threw well with nice accuracy to home with a velocity of 74 mph showing nice arm strength. Maxwell really stood out at the plate. Movements are efficient and athletic, path is level with an easy/low effort swing. Lower half was explosive at times. Barrel showed both direction and whip through the zone. Impressive feel for class with the ability to manipulate the barrel and use all fields. A bat to look out for as he continues to twitch up.
