Travel Team: Waverly Post 142 Shockers
5/31/17 A contact type hitter that uses a simple approach mechanical. Has rhythm to his knee pinch load while taking his hands to launch. Path is flat and he has some feel for the barrel. Produced line drives to the middle of the field in batting practice. Behind the plate he starts in a low crouch, showing flexibility in his hips. Footwork is quick and mechanically sound. Transfer skills are above average. Arm has some whip to it and throws were on target.
Home To First: 4.93 Catcher Velocity: 71 Pop Times: 2.19-2.26 Exit Velocity: 82
10/15/16 A 5-foot-11, 180-pound strong build. Had an impressive workout behind the plate. Tools are above average across the board. Gets his feet in line quickly during his transfer. Pop times ranged from 1.97-2.08, and he threw with 73 mph arm strength. At the plate he starts in a wider setup and uses a simple approach mechanically. Bat gets through the zone with adequate bat speed on a downhill path. Would be aided by a more efficient lower half. Was at his best when he worked the middle of the field. Reached a top exit velocity of 83 mph and ran a 8.55 60-yard dash.
