Luke Sheaffer: 3B/RHP, (2024) St. Charles, OH. 5-foot-10, 175-pound. (74.8 mph bat speed average). (21.7 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall open stance with a slow controlled load, then used a controlled long stride. Bat speed was quick, showed a short swing plane and high finish. During his round he produced loud contact and found multiple barrels. Pull side approach. Smooth solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 84 mph; has smooth athletic feet, firm consistent hands, and a clean twitchy exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.74. Smooth above average on the mound, showing good above average arm speed he used a consistent clean arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall feel type pitcher who shows decent effort. Balance is tall point with an even in line shoulders in his delivery. Lands square with an athletic finish. Has slight action and both sides of the plate command with tight movement. (Max spin 2222; Avg 2163). Threw a 11/5 curveball with down in the zone control and some action. (Max spin 2412; Avg 2320). His heavy changeup had sinking action and around the zone command.
Luke Sheaffer: 3B/RHP, (2024) St. Charles, OH. 5-foot-10, 175-pound projectable frame. At the plate, Sheaffer had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. (68.32 mph bat speed average). (21.48 mph hand speed average). Starts in an open athletic stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled leg kick stride. Bat speed was above average, displayed a short swing plane and level finish. Athletic in the infield, his best throw was registered at 75 mph; has soft hands, athletic developing feet, and a clean exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.59. On the mound, using a short quick arm action he showed good arm speed from a ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 74-75 mph; shows arm side control and running action. (Max spin 1910; Avg 1827). His 11/5 curveball (59-62) has gradual action.
