7/22/20

Hit: One of the better rounds we saw on the day. Love the combination of physicality and fluidity. Always under control. When he pulls the trigger he has natural whip through the zone with the barrel getting through contact with authority..
Power: Loft power to pull. Ball jumps.
Offensive Projection: Middle of lineup.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 89mph.
Max BP Distance: 323ft.
Field: Looks very comfortable over at first base. Plays with feel and fluid actions. Ball skills are more than serviceable. Solid defender over there.
Throw: Loose arm with more than enough strength for 1B.
Defensive Projection: 1B.

Scouting Notes: Much like at the plate he has a ton of feel on the mound. Strike thrower that filled up the zone with multiple offerings. Induced weak contact/swing and miss throughout his outing.
Fastball: 73-75mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1585-1676
Breaking Ball: 65-66mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1457-1636
Changeup: 69mph.

2/19/20

2/19/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes:Clean delivery, good mover on the mound. Slinging arm action through a 3/4 slot. Tough matchup for hitters on both sides of the plate with combination of slot and movement on everything.
Fastball:Regular action to both sides of the plate with higher velo ceiling. 74-78 mph.
Fastball Spin Rate:1500-1700
Curveball:63-65 mph pitch that glides across the zone with big action. Pitch should tighten up as he hits an impending velo jump.
Curveball Spin Rate:1300-1500
Changeup:Above average offering that has good sell.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.

2/19/20 Position Player
Hit:Left-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Very smooth athletic loader. Controls the body well and gets to a good launch position. Whippy stroke with impressive physicality. Ball jumps off the bat. Nice combination of feel and burst.
Power:Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:Middle.
Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity:86.9
Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 306
Field: Looks the part over at first base. Functionally athletic with smooth actions. Obvious feel for the position.Solid defender.
Throw:Clean arm with more than enough strength for the first base position.
Defensive Projection: 1B.

2/7/19
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 215-pound physical frame.

Swing Mechanics: Left-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Goes with a fluid leg lift to get things going with hands showing a back load during stride.

Hit: Physical lefty with fluidity. Swing offers a bit more strength than speed presently. Movements are athletic, well timed. Balanced swing with the ability to use all fields.

Power: 82 mph exit velocity.  Present gap abilities with much more to come as strength catches up to bat speed.

Offensive Projection: Middle of Lineup.

Field: First baseman that checks all the boxes. Has frame for the position with solid ball skills. Ton of feel over there. Solid defender.

Throw: 73 mph across the diamond. Clean arm with above average strength.

Defensive Projection: 1B.

Additional Comments: Very interesting follow. Hit tool projects to be well above average and he plays first base with a ton of feel. L/L guy who will grow into that physical lefty bat colleges love.

2/7/19 Pitching

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 215 pounds. Sturdy build to him.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Even flowing tempo throwing out of a ¾ arm slot. Displayed flowing arm action and put forth nice intent behind his throws.

Fastball: 71-75 mph. Stronger arm for his class sitting 73-75 for most of his outing. Threw strikes often too.
Curveball: 66-67 mph. Provided a nice, consistent release point showing some sharper bite with 1-6 breaking action.

Changeup: 68-69 mph. Not much run to it right now. Developing grip work.

Pitchability: Lefty has size and strong arm working in his favor. Off-speed pitches show to be playable on the mound. He has plenty of time for development in the next three four years.

Role:  TBD.
