Scouting Notes: Impressive showing. Athletic, efficient delivery that was explosive at times. Fastball was up to 86mph. and slider was sharp.
Fastball: 83-86mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1793-2014rpm.
Breaking Ball: 74-76mph..
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1965-2123rpm.
Changeup: 81mph.
Hit:One of the top rounds we saw. Offers an impressive skill set offensively. Efficient/explosive swing. Stroked balls around the yard in BP with a top exit velocity of 97mph.
Power:Legit raw potential.
Offensive Projection:Run producer.
Field:Looked the part in the outfield. Good athlete with ball skills and a big arm.
Throw:Well above average strength.
Defensive Projection:Multiple Spots.
2/9/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Cushman threw from a higher ¾ arm slot with a bit of a crossfire action to his delivery. Showed pretty good athleticism throughout delivery.
Fastball: Fastball was 80-82 mph with average life through the zone.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1670-1840
Curveball: Breaking ball was 67-70 mph and had a slurvey type shape with average bite.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1770-1920
Changeup: Changeup was 73-74 mph.
Pitchability: Cushman showed good athleticism on the mound with average feel for his three pitch mix. Could add some velocity to his fastball if he got more out of his backside and shifted his weight more efficiently in the earlier stages of his delivery.

Hit: One of the top BPs wwe saw. Everything works and he has the tools to do damage. Banged it around in BP.
Power:Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:Run Producer.
Field: Looks the part in the outfield. Smooth actions across the board. Solid defender.
Throw: Arm works and the ball comes out well.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 197-pound physical frame.
Swing Mechanics: Simple load with minimal movement. Swing works.
Hit: Level bat path with good bat speed. Good feel in the box.
Power: Flashes of pop to the pull side with backspin, and more to come as he develops and adds size.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Field: In the infield he plays with good tempo and maintains rhythm throughout. Hands work well, showing above average ball skills. Sure-handed defender.
Throw: Clean arm with more to come.
Defensive Projection: 2B.
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 197-pound physical/athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Simple, fluid load that leads to a balanced launch.
Hit: Obvious athleticism to stroke. Downhill path with a balanced combination of strength/speed to hands, both are above average tools. Ball jumps.
Power: 81 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy with gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Run: 4.46 H-1st.
Field: Smooth defender with easy actions and soft hands. Good feel for feet/glove.
Throw: Average arm that should see more mphs.
Defensive Projection: 2B.
Body Type: 5-foot-11 197-pound prospect with a medium, somewhat filled out frame.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a medium, balanced setup. Showed a somewhat flat bat path but still kept his barrel in the zone.
Hit: Good bat to ball ability and barrel control.
Power: 94 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Showed above average raw power for his class, but his swing lends itself to more of a line drive, hard ground ball approach. If he added more lift to his swing he could show potential to be a power bat.
Run: 4.58 home to 1st.
Field: In the outfield he showed average footwork but played through the ball well and had a quick arm. In the infield he showed adequate footwork and angles with good hands.
Throw: 75 mph throw across the infield, and 80 mph throw from the outfield.
Defensive Projection: Looks to be more of a corner outfield guy at the next level. Could maybe find a way to contribute at 2B if he wants to keep some versatility at the next level.
Body Type: 5-foot-11 197-pound prospect with an average build.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Shows rhythm through a compact delivery with a drop and drive type lower half. Works in line with level shoulders.
Fastball: 75-77 mph fastball works out of a high-3/4 slot. The pitch is mostly straight working on a downhill plane.
Slider: 68-72 mph slider works on an 11/5 tilt. The pitch flashed some sharpness at times.
Changeup: 71-73 mph changeup is thrown with fastball like arm speed. Shows good feel, the pitch has some late diving action around the zone.
Pitchability: Solid three pitch mix from the 2021 grad. Showed ability to locate all three offerings. Breaking is likely the best out pitch at this stage.
