Body Type: 6-foot-1, 207-pound physical frame.
Swing Mechanics: Simple load that engages his entire body, and gets everything in sync.
Hit: Fast bat with a level bat path. Twitchy swing with a lot of intent. Pull side approach. Ball really comes off well. Took one of the louder BPs of the day.
Power: Ball jumps off his bat with pop to the pull side. 93 mph off the bat in BP.
Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup guy.
Field: Corner infield with some bounce to his step. Moves well out of the funnel, staying light on his feet throughout sequence. Hands look reliable.
Throw: 3/4 right-hander with average to above average strength.
Defensive Projection: 3B/1B.
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 205 pounds. Taller, thin athlete.
Swing Mechanics: Wider base from him in the box. Produces bat speed in his uphill swing path. Stays on plane with pitches well too as he rotates through the ball.
Hit: Strong swing showing his signs of power driving the baseball more middle of the field.
Power: 89 mph exit velocity. More to follow from this ‘20.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Run: 7.87 60-yard.
Field: Fields it well with showing nice glovework overall in the infield. Footwork is progressing in quickness and mobility as he plays more. At first base he showed more comfortable actions fielding the baseball. Ability showed well defensively overall with more in store for this ‘20.
Throw: 74 mph across the diamond showing strength.
Defensive Projection: Corner infield.
6-foot-1, 207 pound infield prospect showed an average glove defensively working on coming through the ball more efficiently. Footwork was nice and moved very well for his size in getting off the bag and to the ball. Arm strength across the diamond was 73 mph. Looked athletic and comfortable in the box. Loading sequence is fluid, incorporating efficient movements that sync well. A strong kid with some bat speed in there as well. Generates gap pop with impressive carry. Displayed run producer qualities in BP.
