2/4/18
At the plate the lefty starts in a wider setup. A contact type guy presently with much more in the tanks as he adds strength to his athletic frame. Path is level and he displayed twitch to his hands. Generates easy backspin when he stays through contact. Showed a tendency to get around the ball at times. Showed flashes of run producer potential. In the outfield he uses aggressive footwork to the baseball without compromising control. Plays two-handed through to ensure ball security. Skill set presently fits in left field. On the mound the southpaw has a fluid delivery that doesn't require much effort. Uses a chest high leg lift before getting into his drop and drive load. Arm action is long back through a near over the top slot. Should have more velocity in the tank, presently sitting 67-70 mph. Breaking ball has big, early action on a 1/7 plane at 59-61 mph. Does a nice job of maintaining arm speed on his changeup giving it a fastball look out of the hand.
