Nathan Ball: LHP/1B, (2024) Southview High School, OH. 6-foot-1, 190-pound. During batting practice, Ball had an exit velocity of 88 mph. Starts in a balanced tall stance with a controlled quick load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick, has a simple uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 72 mph; has soft sure hands, a natural exchange, and consistent feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.69 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, used a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 70-73 mph. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1826; Avg 1642). His 2/8 curveball (65-66) showed some action. (Max spin 1791; Avg 1762). His changeup (68-70) has fading action.
