6/6/17 A talented arm in the 2018 class. Very impressive season St. Xavier. A 6-foot-3 frame with long limbs and room to add strength. Arm is fast with some looseness to it while moving through a high-¾ slot. Throws a heavy, running fastball at 83-87 mph. Works off the pitch and isn’t afraid to go in on hitters. Secondary stuff is led by his breaking ball. The pitch moves on an 11/5 plane with depth and sharpness to it at 72-74 mph. Mostly started the pitch off the plate and broke it on to freeze righties and backdoor lefties. Showed the change up a few times at 77-78 mph.
1/28/17 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect. Starts open at the plate and gets back to even with a controlled stride. Stays fluid throughout his loading sequence. Hands stay simple prior to taking a level path to the ball. Middle of the lineup type tools. Showed the ability to drive the ball into the gap to both sides of the field. Defensively, he projects as a 3B/1B type. Arm strength may move him to 1B at the next level. Shows average hands and feet. Made plays to glove side and back hand. Throws from ¾ slot.
