Hit: Righty swinger that starts in an upright setup, athletic loading sequence that incorporates a double tap timing trigger with bat tip up top for rhythm, balanced launch with a slightly downhill path to contact, quicker than he is strong with the hands presently but tools are comparable.
Power: 85 mph tee exit velocity, line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Field: Controlled approach, softer hands with average ball skills, picks up tempo after securing the baseball. Also worked out in the outfield where he plays with an uptempo pace to and through, ball skills grade similar to those he showcased in infield.
Throw: Top infield velocity was 71 mph across the diamond and top outfield velocity was 76 mph to home plate, clean arm that should continue to add velocity.
Defensive Projection: UTL.
Body Type: 5-foot-6, 135-pound thin frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Sits back and drives with lower half. Smooth and quick arm action that was on time.
Fastball: 71-73mph. Slight arm side movement. In the zone some of the time showing hints of being able to locate on the corners.
Curveball: 62-64mph. Near 12/6 movement with some bite to it. Best pitch in arsenal. A pitch to watch develop. Ability to locate within the zone.
Pitchability: In the zone consistently with curveball. Needs to be in zone more consistently with fastball.
Body Type: 5-foot-6, 135-pound thin frame.
Swing Mechanics: Simple load with minimal movement that engages his hands well.
Hit: Level bat path with a pull side approach. Natural ball flight to the middle part of the field.
Power: Line drive guy right now. Pop to the pull side.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Field: In the infield he plays light on his feet, taking direct routes. Athletic actions on all plays but even more so outside his funnel. Above average ball skills for class.
Throw: Arm works with above average strength and more to come.
