Scouting Notes: Arguably the biggest stock riser of the event. 6-foot-4 prospect with a loose arm that comes out of a 3/4 slot, generating FB velocities in the 89-90mph range. Slot makes him a nightmare for RHH and his above average changeup makes him tough on lefties as well. Couldn't have been more impressive. Fastball: 89-90mph. Fastball Spin Rate: 2375-2436 Breaking Ball: 75-76mph. Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 2192-2212 Changeup: 80-81mph
7/06/20
Hit: 6-foot-4, right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Loose, whippy stroke with obvious bat speed (78mph according to blast). Absolute stroked balls in BP with authority. Impressive round. Power: Runs the gap with ease. Offensive Projection: Middle. Max BP Exit Velocity: 100 mph Max BP Distance: 371 ft Field: Wiry frame, rangy defender, showed some athleticism with the ability to make plays on the move, hands on par to ahead of the curve for class. Throw: Very loose arm, ball jumps. Defensive Projection: Left side of infield.
10/20/19
Body Type: Endless projection left on frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: High follow in the '21 class. Long lever type with obvious projectability to his 6-foot-4 frame. Moves well and delivery is easy. Ball comes out of a true 3/4 slot.
Fastball: High spin rate guy at 2200-2400. Fastball was rarely touched throughout his performance, sitting 83-85 mph and working all quadrants of the zone.
Curveball: Spins a tight slider that was inconsistent but showed flashes of being an above average offering stuff wise.
Pitchability: Fills it up with fastball, developing breaking ball.
Additional Comments: Very intriguing arm with frame and velo potential that will be scouts in the stands.
Swing Mechanics: Tall, opened setup with athletic moves that sync well.
Hit: Aggressive swing with physicality behind it. Ball jumps when sequered. Left the yard in BP. Looked explosive at times. Ball carries/generates natural backspin.
Power: Regular gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run producer qualities.
Field: Rangy defender who plays with a controlled tempo throughout. Ball skills appear to be on par for class.
Throw: Clean arm, more strength to come.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.
