Noah LaFine: RHP/OF, (2024) Archbishop Hoban, OH. Vanderbilt Commit, 5-foot-11, 165-pound. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.9 60-yard dash. Solid on the mound, showing quick arm speed he used a clean arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed strong balance point with downhill shoulders. Has slight running action. (Max spin 2254; Avg 2164). Threw a 11/5 curveball with tight action. (Max spin 2315; Avg 2264).

Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Has a strong balance point with downhill shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 88-89 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 2292; Avg 2146). His changeup (80-81) has fading action. Threw a 10/4 slider (73-75) with late action.

Started in an athletic balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Has efficient bat speed, flat swing plane and a back foot finish. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.38. Advanced on the mound, used a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing electric arm speed. Slow-tempo type pitcher and uses high effort. Curveball (76-77 mph), changeup (72-75 mph).Threw his fastball 86-89 mph. 

Hit: Smooth swinger from the right side. Everything comes together well. Aggressive swinger with an in/out path. Worked in the middle of the field in BP.
Power: Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Table setter.
Max Exit BP Exit Velocity: 79mph.
Max BP Distance: 243ft.
Field: In the outfield he plays under control throughout tempo. Ball skills are on par for class
Throw: Loose arm with easy jump out of hand. Arm projects as an above average tool.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spot.

Scouting Notes: Had to check his grad year three times to make sure we had it down correctly. Up to 88 mph with feel for spin and a developing changeup. Elite stuff for class.

Delivery Notes: Slow tempo delivery with an aggressive finish. Uses pull down approach to garner most of his momentum. High ¾ arm slot.
Fastball: True through the zone with occasional arm side two seam action at 81mph.
Curveball: Great offspeed pitch that keeps hitters guessing. Above average depth and bite at 70-71mph.
Changeup: Keeps arm speed the same, arm side sink action with some run. 76mph.

Hit: Simple/smooth mechanics, keeps a level bat path throughout the zone.
Power: Above average power for class at 84mph exit velo.
Offensive Projection: Everything guy.
Field: Conservative approach to ball but comes up firing with quickness.
Throw: 85mph outfield velo.
Defensive Projection: Multiple roles.
