2/12/17 The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Kent State recruit looked like he was playing toss as he sat 85-88 mph with his fastball. His off-speed pitches still need some work, but a fall with Coach Birkbeck will get him straightened out. His breaking ball got better showing more break as his bullpen session went on. But, it had a tendency to just show spin at 71-72 mph. He throws his changeup with good arm speed at 73-74. It shows fade to his arm side.
6/8/15
6-foot-1, 165-pound projectable frame. The southpaw earned a spot on the Futures Game after his performance. On the mound he has a simple delivery with good direction that he is able to repeat. Minimal effort and throws from a high-3/4 slot with his fastball sitting 82-84 mph. Shows a solid breaking ball topping out at 72 mph with 1/7 break. Throws a good change up at 74-75 mph with good arm speed. Typical 3 pitch left hander.
2/16/15 6-foot, 158-pound thin projectable frame. From the mound the lefty’s delivery requires regular effort. He has a good clean arm action, using average arm speed through a ¾ slot. He has a good follow through and finishes his pitches well. His fastball showed natural tailing movement at times between 79-82 mph. His curveball was thrown with 1/7 tilt and gradual break, with some signs of being sharp at times between 67-68 mph. He also shows a good feel for his changeup thrown at fastball arm speed with similar movement as his fastball between 69-72 mph.
6/10/14 5-foot-11, 155 pound left handed pitcher with potential to develop. Short arm, 3/4 arm slot who does not use much effort from throwing from the left side. Fastball sat 76-78 with a little arm side run. 12/6 curve-ball was best of off speed pitch at 62-65. Good follow for a left-handed pitcher in the 2017 class
